At our inpatient treatment program, individuals learn the fundamentals of sober living. Inpatient treatment at Lighthouse Recovery Center includes medical detox, one-on-one, and group therapy sessions several times per day.

Once the patient enters the drug or alcohol rehabilitation program, they are effectively a full-time resident of the center. They will receive supervised, tailored, and structured care as part of their addiction treatment program throughout their stay.

What Happens During Inpatient Rehab

Upon arrival at the center, the patient will undergo an assessment. The treatment team will evaluate the patient’s mental and physical health, personal history, and substance abuse history in order to develop the most effective and individualized treatment plan possible. With the patient’s permission, the treatment staff may speak to family members and consult with other medical professionals already working with the patient to get the most accurate assessment possible.

As an inpatient at Lighthouse Recovery Center, the resident may stay alone in an assigned room or board with a roommate

Medical Detox

The first step in recovery is medical detox, done under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals. Medical detox involves weaning the patient off the substance they are addicted to in order to remove all traces from their system.

Detox can be uncomfortable and even life-threatening and needs to be done under medical supervision. Often, medication is administered to manage and treat withdrawal side effects
